Who I Work With

The leaders I work with tend to face one or more of the following challenges:

  • I’m at a crossroads in my life and work.
I’ve reached a pinnacle in my career and I’m not sure what I want next or how to get there. I’ve fulfilled my vision of building a viable business, but now I find myself just “going through the motions”. The thrill is gone! I’m feeling burnt out and not passionate about my business anymore. And, I have been procrastinating, and putting off dealing with the situation.
  • I’m not living a life I love.
I fantasize about doing other things, but I feel stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out. I am living reactively versus proactively; by default rather than by design. I’m not sure how to transition to what is next for me in my life and work. I have no clear sense of vision or direction, or if I do know what I want and where I want to go, I have no clear plan for how to get there.
  • My life is out of balance.
I’m successful in conventional terms but at the cost of my own happiness, satisfaction and life balance. I’m working too much and I’ve neglected important elements essential to living a fulfilling life: health and fitness, relationships with my family and friends, as well as other interests and passions. I’m too busy and feeling overwhelmed. Pulled in too many directions, I need to prioritize and simplify my life. I don’t have control of my business – it’s got control of me.
  • I’m not as organized or productive as I could be.
I am interrupted all day long. I think my company and I could get more done in less time if we worked more strategically. I think we could be more successful if we could learn how to work more collaboratively and efficiently. I need to learn how to work smarter not harder!
  • I tend to manage more than I lead.
I don’t delegate as well as I should and end up doing too much of the work myself. Most of my employees act like employees not leaders. I am too involved in the day to day operations and need to step back and look at the big picture and provide more vision and strategy to the game.
  • I don’t know how to build the leadership and teamwork needed to take my business to the next level and to free me up to focus on other things, both inside and outside of my business.
I don’t train and develop, or adequately coach and mentor my staff to take on more leadership and responsibility so that I can do what only I can do, and they can do everything else.
  • I need to start thinking about my exit strategy.
I have no leadership succession plan, or if I do, I am not implementing it actively or sufficiently. I need to create a plan that will work for my particular business, given the industry I am in, the staff that I have, and my long terms needs and goals, so that I can move on to what is next for me – be that retirement, a new project or business, or some other adventure I want to focus on in the next chapter of my life.
  • I want more from my life than material success (i.e., quality, authenticity, contribution).
I am successful and yet still find myself feeling somewhat empty. Something important is missing. There is a lack of inspiration and enthusiasm, of significance and meaning. There must be more to life and I am determined to discover it.
  • I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired!
You are ready to stop putting up with things in your life and business that don’t work for you, and are ready to start making the changes you need to make.

You may relate to one or more of the above conditions, but what my clients all seem to have in common is that they are interested in:

  • Being more effective and productive leaders, and getting more done in less time with less effort, so that they can create…
  • More quality and life balance in their lives; more time and space to enjoy what life has to offer, and ultimately,…
  • Stepping up and making a bigger difference and playing a bigger game of contribution.
